On April 20, 2011, Makoto Hirasaka announced on his website that he has been hospitalized, and that Oriental Sacred Place would go on hiatus. He has since recovered after two months.

On Jan 26, 2008, the first volume of Strange and Bright Nature Deity went on sale. Volume 2 was released on Feb 18, 2009, and volume 3 was released on August 28, 2009. Each volume came with a CD

Inaba of the Moon and Inaba of the Earth

Touhou Bougetsushou ~ Tsuki no Inaba to Chijou no Inaba (東方儚月抄 ~ 月のイナバと地上の因幡, lit. "Ephemeral Moon Vignette from the East ~ Inaba of the Moon and Inaba of the Earth") is a series of comedic 4koma strips drawn by Toshihira Arata and serialized in Manga 4koma Kings Palette. Unlike other Touhou print works, ZUN is credited as "原案" (the base of setting and character design) instead of "原作" (scenario).

東方儚月抄 (Touhou Bougetsushou, "Eastern Ephemeral Moon Vignette") is a loosely interconnected storyline about the Lunarians that includes Silent Sinner in Blue, Cage in Lunatic Runagate, and Inaba of the Moon and Inaba of the Earth. Bougetsushou (儚月抄) can be translated as "Ephemeral Moon Vignette": compare with 東方永夜抄 ~ Imperishable Night (Touhou Eiyashou) which translates to "Eternal Night Vignette from the East". Note that in the title, "Inaba" (イナバ) (of the Moon) is written in katakana, but "Inaba" (因幡) (of the Earth) is written in kanji.

The illustration of the cover of premium version of the first volume shows Udonge laid on boiling water in the hot pot. This is a joke, as it's often mentioned, that Udonge is said to going to be eaten as rabbit nabe. On the other hand, that of premium version of the second volume shows Tewi sitting on a shark fin. This is also a joke concerning the White Rabbit of Inaba stepping on sharks in Kojiki.
